Deferred Action 2012: Traveling

Things To Note:

This video pertains to travel abroad:

  1. Deferred Action alone does not allow you to travel abroad
  2. You must file a separate application for Advance Parole in order to travel abroad
  3. Traveling abroad and re-entering The United States can severely complicate the process, or even result in denial of an application.

This video only addresses future travel.

  1. Apply for Deferred Action FIRST to be considered to travel abroad.
  2. No traveling while an application is pending

Travel abroad may be allowed for:

  1. Illness or death of a family member.
  2. Education purposes
  3. Employment
